How to open the Data Window in MT5

This Data Window is used to display price information (OHLC), the bar's date and time, and the indicators (including custom ones) that have been utilised.

The "Data Window" is a window that does not allow or require you to perform any actions. Instead, you get a summarised set of information.

Once a data window is opened, It shows information about a instrument, including:

• Symbol/name
• Date
• Time
• Open price
• High
• Low
• Close price
• Volume

By scrolling over the candlestick on a chart, It is possible to view the data for that particular candlestick.

How to open the Data Window in MT5

• To view the Data Window in MT5,
• Hover and click on “View” on the top menu.
• From the view menu, click on “Data Window” to open the data window.
• Alternatively, it is possible to use a keyboard shortcut by just pressing “CTRL + D”.
