The MetaTrader 5 platform are preloaded with hundreds of indicators like moving average, Bollinger Bands, and so on.

To add indicators to your chart:

• Click on insert and then click on indicators
• Select the type of indicator you want.

Alternatively, you can select the indicators from the navigator window.

• Simply click on the “indicators” to expand the list
• Select the type of indicator you want, and it will be added to the chart.

How to install indicators on MT5

To install an external indicator on MetaTrader 5:

• Navigate to the file option on the upper left corner of the platform
• Select the “open data folder”
• A folder will be pop up on the screen, find and click on the folder named “MQL5”
• Click on the “indicators” folder
• From the folder, find and choose the indicator you want to install
• Close the folder and the MetaTrader 5 platform
• Restart the platform and the indicator will be installed
