How do I place a trade in the Share Trading App?

  1. Open your BlackBull Trade App, press the Trade Button, and open your Live Account.
  2. Once you have successfully logged in, you will be presented with the applications home screen with a summary of data since your last trading session, such as movements in global indices, stocks, and news or market updates.
  3. At the bottom of the screen, find the Trade tab in the taskbar. The Trade tab sits in between the Portfolio and Watchlist tabs.
  4. Click the Trade tab, to find your options for placing a trade. Then click the magnifying glass that says Quote. Search for your company or instrument, and select the instrument you would like to trade for example Apple Inc (NASDAQ: APPL).
  5. To purchase shares click on the stock option. Click on BUY order, and it will open a new screen where you can fill in the details concerning Quantity, Order type, Limit Price, such as day, good till cancel, or at the opening and Time in Force (how long you want the order to be available).
  6. If all order details are correct after preview, you can slide the Slide to Submit Buy button found at the bottom of the screen.

How to change your order price

  1. To change your limit price, you can swipe the right part of the screen to bring out the chart of the instrument. In this chart you can slide your limit order up or down, which will enable you to change your order price.
  2. When you re-slide your Slide to Submit Buy to the right, you will get a few confirmation messages, such as that you are submitting an order without market data.
  3. To proceed, click Yes. You will get another message to Confirm Mandatory Cap Price for which you can Accept and continue.(A message may appear that states that in some cases, if the order is not immediately executable, they can reject your order if the limit price is more than the allowed distance from the current share price.)
  4. Once the order has been filled, it will appear on your open positions in the Portfolio tab.
